Its history
In 1924, after more than 50 years in the market, Commendatore Alfio Fichera took over the company that now bears his name. Together with his children and closest collaborators, he created a true business family, united by a strong sense of solidarity and initiative. Through effort and vision, they succeeded in bringing the distillery to the highest quality standards.
In the 1950s, the company underwent significant expansion, modernizing its machinery and equipment. This qualitative leap enabled it to become one of the most esteemed suppliers of spirits for major national companies, such as the renowned Stock of Trieste.

Its liqueurs and rosolis capture the aromatic essence of its wonderful host island: Sicily. The fruits that nature provides are transformed into liqueur through an ancient artisanal method passed down from generation to generation.
For over a century, it has distilled excellence in liqueur-making under the shadow of Europe’s highest volcano: Mount Etna.
The majestic Mount Etna, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, was the inspiration for Commendatore Alfio Fichera to create its flagship liqueur: Fuoco dell'Etna. With 70 degrees of flavor and a secret recipe, this liqueur has been the subject of numerous imitations, but it is the one and only original.
