In 1963 Giuseppe Castelli bought the ancient “Eugenio Levi” Distillery. The renowned Levi family from Campodolcino was already dedicated to distillation since 1700. Of the nine sons of Angelo Levi, six were distillers, and Eugenio was in Cortemilia (CN).
The Eugenio distillery was put back into operation, renewing the existing equipment with a completely new plant, giving birth to the "Castelli Distillery".
To this day, Sergio Castelli and his wife continue the family tradition, proud of being a small niche company, the whole family follows every single production phase with dedication, following in the footsteps of Giuseppe Castelli with perseverance, seriousness and commitment.
