The history of the Amato family is linked to a few men, skilled liquorists and ingenious artisans who from 1881 until today, have handed down the passion for stills from father to son.
In 1997 an old copper alembic dating back to the early 1900s was put back into operation and had been set aside by Gaetano Amato, the founder of the distillery, for almost 80 years.
In the meantime, Giuseppe Amato obtained the Master in Grappa Sciences qualifying himself as Master Distiller,
thus obtaining all those technical skills to operate in the production of artisan liqueurs in Striano, Salerno and Naples.
Distilleria Amato guarantees its customers the tradition and passion that make it one of the best Italian distilleries.
