At BIOGRASSFED, its cows live in total freedom, never seeing stables or feed. Year-round, they graze and ruminate in its fields and forests, feeding solely on organic pasture from its own lands, ensuring high-quality, pure veal.

Its herds graze freely 24/7, without any confinement, feeding exclusively on organic forages and pastures from its estate. Since they consume neither feed nor grain meal, their growth is entirely natural; when the time comes, they are humanely slaughtered in certified organic facilities, minimizing any distress.

On its estate, all cultivation adheres to strict organic principles:

Native and Rustic Breeds
Its herds consist of native breeds from Spain and France, known for their resilience, fertility, and excellent maternal qualities. Calves, lambs, and kids remain with their mothers, nursing and learning to graze on its organic pastures. This natural process allows the gradual development of their digestive systems until they are ready to feed only on grass and green forage.
Among its breeds, the Aubrac stands out, favored by chef Michel Bras for its tender, pink meat. BIOGRASSFED also raises the Ripollesa Sheep, perfectly suited to its environment, and the Pyrenean Goat, which thrives in the landscapes of the Ampurdán’s garrigue.
